A named range in Excel is a custom name that is assigned to a specific range of cells.

Instead of referring to cells by their traditional row and column references (e.g., E13:EG13), a descriptive name can be used (e.g., "TOTAL_RENT"). This makes formulas and references more readable and easier to understand, especially for large and complex spreadsheets.
